what's your name and how old are you?
My name is Emily Lynn and I am 17 years old.
 
What district are you from?
I live in district 3.
 
tell me about your district and your life there
Well, as you know district 3 is the technology district. I was in school studying engineering. If I did not get picked for the Hunger Games, I wanted to grow up to be an engineer to help make all the technology that gets sold throughout Panem.
 
Tell me about your family if you have any.
I have a very loving and supportive family. I thankfully have both of my parents and an older sister and younger brother. My parents are both engineers that work in the television factory. My sister’s name is Jamie and she is 20 years old. She just completed school and will work in a factory as well. My brother’s name is Nathan and he is 13 years old. He is a stubborn boy and doesn’t want to be in school right now, but who does when you are that young!
 
tell me about your friends
I have 2 best friends and I can’t imagine my life without them. I grew up with them because they lived on my street. “looks into camera” Claire and Tara I know you are watching. I’m going to miss you so much. Please take care of my family like we talked about. “looks back at Ceasar” Sorry about that!
 
what did you say to those who came to say goodbye?
My parents, brother, and sister came in first. We hugged and cried and hugged some more. I promised them that I will be home because I will win!
 
did you volunteer? or get picked?
I got picked, but I’m kind of glad I got picked. I feel ready for these games and I would never want any little kid to get picked. Seeing kids go into the games breaks my heart.
 
what is the best thing about the capitol?
The food!! Living in district 3 isn't all that bad, but the food here is amazing! Chicken, steak, you name it they have it.
 
do you have any strengths?
I definitely have a lot of strengths, but I feel my best attribute is with ropes and knots. I work a lot with wires and things in school so I can make pretty much anything with them.
 
Do you have a stradegy?
if you don't mind, will you tell us about it?
I don’t really have a strategy unless you count staying alive haha. I’m going to go into the arena and play the games as best as I can.
 
why do you want to win?
I want to win for my family, friends, and district. Bringing everything that comes with a win back home would be the best gift. And I don’t want to die at 17 years old.
 
did you enjoy your training?
Yes! I learned a lot of new things. I’m very excited to use them in the games.
 
how do you feel about your score?
I feel like a 9 is very good. I’m glad I got a high score. I don’t want the other tributes to take me lightly.
 
are you prepared?
Yes I have never felt so prepared for anything in my life.
 
is there anything else you think we should all know?
You should know that I will be the winner. I plan to be on this stage again at the end of the games.
